We’re supporting MEW2023!

Môr Glas and Môr Gwyrdd is a joint venture partnership between Hiraeth Energy and Magnora Offshore Wind with a vision for sustainable and Wales-focused developments of floating offshore wind. The partnership brings in-depth local knowledge together with world-class development partners.

Môr Glas and Môr Gwyrdd aim to maximise the value to Wales from the development, installation and operation of projects and will maintain shares of both projects for ownership by community organisations in Wales.

Our team is delighted to be attending – and supporting – one of the best-attended energy events in Wales, the Marine Energy Wales Conference.

This year the event takes place in the Swansea Arena, and more than ten of our colleagues will be in attendance. We are proud to be official Event Supporters, contributing towards a greener and more prosperous future for the whole sector in Wales.

We will be showcasing our ideas for developing projects in the Celtic Sea which aim to push the boundaries on current good practice for keeping ownership in Wales, as well as supporting communities and the local supply chain. We are keen to support educational opportunities, and have recently partnered with the Lego League educational programme in Pembrokeshire to help provide opportunities to build skills in children.

The MEW2023 conference promises to be another unmissable opportunity to network with colleagues, policy-makers and community energy advocates from across Wales.

Speaking about the opportunity, Joseph Kidd, Partner in Hiraeth Energy, said:

“The Marine Energy Wales annual conference is a key date in the diary for anybody who wants to see Wales develop a prosperous and sustainable energy sector. We’re delighted to be supporting and attending the event, and look forward to connecting with colleagues and the supply chain on the day”
