Attendees at the APPG meeting on Floating Wind

Hiraeth Energy at Westminster

Hiraeth Energy was delighted to present our project proposals at this week’s All Party Parliamentary Group for the Celtic Sea meeting, hosted by the Celtic Sea Developers Alliance and Marine Energy Wales. The headline speaker at the meeting was Simon Hart, Secretary of State for Wales and MP for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire.

Hiraeth Energy is a proactive and collaborative member of the Celtic Sea Developers Alliance, and we were happy to provide information to many attendees, including MPs, about our innovative approach to project development and local ownership of the two proposed projects.

We aim to support Welsh ports and the wider supply chain in gearing up to take full advantage of the large developments that seem likely to arise in the Celtic Sea.

The timing of the meeting was particularly appropriate, coming so soon after the recent Crown Estate announcement about the Celtic Sea leasing round.

We look forward to engaging further with politicians, the wider supply chain and local communities to create sustainable, low-carbon floating wind farms that will maximise the benefits to Wales.
